37 weeks!

This picture is from the last time we were in getting a growth ultrasound done.

The babies are now considered full-term! Thank you Lord! It's so hard to believe that we have made it to this point of the pregnancy already. It seems as though it was just yesterday that we were dreaming of this particular hour. Wow!

We have another non-stress test this morning. Last week's NST was suppose to be our last, but since we switched the induction from Wednesday of this week to this Friday, we decided it would be a good idea to keep an eye on the twins and my blood pressure.

Here is a short video clip of the twins moving in utero.

Eviction Notice

We had another non-stress test done this morning. Both babies are looking good and they are both still very active (especially when their Daddy reads to them).

We also set a date for the twins to be evicted - Friday, August 29th. Our plan is to try for a vaginal delivery so I'll be induced Friday and hopefully things will progress quickly and smoothly. Currently all is in a favor for a vaginal delivery. Both babies are head down. Baby A supposedly weighs 5 lbs 4 oz (but could be less or more) and Baby B supposedly weighs 6 lbs 2 oz (again, could weigh more or less). We'll have an ultrasound done before hand just to make sure that at least Baby A is still head down. With twins, 37 weeks is considered full-term; generally twins are delivered no later then 38 weeks, so that is why the twins are getting their eviction notice. EXCITING TIMES! We're praying that labor start on its own so that I don't have to be induced. . So if you would, please pray with us, we'd appreciate it.

We're just days away from holding and kissing our babies...wow!!! WOW! WOW! WOW! Life for us is about to change!

36 Weeks

Yesterday we had another growth ultrasound at the hospital. Both babies are doing great! Supposedly one weighs 5 lbs 5 oz and the other 6 lbs 2 oz...again...supposedly. Give or take some ounces. We'll just have to wait until they are born to get their exact weight.
The babies were giving the tech a hard time, to the point where she had to call in another tech to help figure out what position the babies were in. The babies are crisscross, how that is even possible with two separate sacs, is beyond me. They are both head down though, which is good! They also seem to be fighting over who gets to come out first...ha-ha! What a bond these two babies already have. Both babies were face down so we didn't get any 3D pictures this time. I wasn't disappointed about that really, as in just days we'll get to view and touch our babies.

We have another non-stress test tomorrow at 10am. So far, no real strong, regular contractions. I am betting that we have at least another week or so before the babies arrive. But I could be wrong. One never knows the day.

Clear!

Wow, we made it to 36 weeks!! We can now have the babies at the Spearfish Hospital instead of having to go to the Rapid City Hospital. What an answer to prayer! Thank you, Lord!!

Today we have another growth ultrasound at the hospital. We're all wondering how much the babies weigh now. I'm guessing that the babies are 5 lbs. Jer thinks they are closer to 6 lbs. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.

35 weeks!!

The babies are still in here; what an answer to prayer! I am now 35 weeks & 2 days along. God truly has given me much grace with this pregnancy. I am still walking around (with a bit of a waddle), I still have some energy left (most days) and I still have my positive attitude intact. All the glory goes straight to the Lord...it is nothing I have done, it's all HIM.

This morning I had another non-stress test done. The babies are continuing to do great. They were quite active, especially while their Daddy read to them. It's truly amazing to me that they already know their Daddy's voice (and Mommy's too).
My blood pressure is trying to creep up, so the doctors are going to start to keep an even closer eye on me...which means 2 appts a week. I have another appt this Friday at 9am. We also have another growth ultrasound scheduled for Monday the 18th (36 week mark - yay!) at 1pm.
The doctor measured my belly today. I am measuring at 44 weeks along (remember, I am 35 weeks along). Haha! No wonder everyone asks if my due date was yesterday.

Enjoy the pictures! I'll write more later.

34 Weeks

34 weeks along...can you believe it? It feels as though it was just yesterday that we found out that our family will be doubling in size. Sure brings a whole new meaning to the verse "Be fruitful and multiply..." (Genesis 1:28). We're not just adding, we're multiplying. :)

Yesterday (August 7th) I had yet another non-stress test done. Both babies are continuing to do great! I also had an ultrasound done to see what position the babies were in...good news, they are both head down now. We're praying that the babies have gotten the desire to flip out of their systems. Anyway, all looks great. My blood pressure is staying in a good range. I haven't started to dilate yet. And both babies have been given 2 thumbs up from the Doctor. At this rate it looks like we will make it to 36 weeks (or beyond). That sure would be an answer to our prayers.

My next non-stress test is next Wednesday (August 13th) at 10:00am. I will be 35 weeks along on Monday! YAY! Thank you LORD! He sure has been good and faithful to carry us through this pregnancy.

4am Feeding

So it's 4am in the morning and I'm awake, eating my first breakfast. I've been tossing and turning since 3am mostly due to hunger, a few contractions and a bathroom run. I would consider this phase of pregnancy, "Training". I've been getting up every few hours and sleeping very little when I do hit my pillow. I get up maybe 3-5 times during the night to use the bathroom. If it isn't a run to the bathroom then it's acid reflux waking me or hunger, like this morning. But in the midst of all the trips to the bathroom, the tossing and turning, and the 4am feedings (for me), I sure love being pregnant with these two little ones. I realize that we're just days away from having two little ones to hold and to feed at 4am...."CRAZY" - that's all I have to say about that.

Update: We've had 2 non-stress tests done so far and all looks good. We have another one this Thursday (7th) at 3:30pm. I have been having more contractions, they're getting more noticeable, but nothing that has caused us to rush to the hospital...yet. We're hoping to make it at least to August 18th, that means just two weeks to go! But maybe longer, maybe shorter, we really don't know! Whatever day these babies do arrive on, we're praying they are healthy, strong and that both are able to come home right away, regardless of what hospital they are born at.

Thanks for your prayers for all 4 of us. We appreciate it!
