What Joy!

We had another ultrasound this past Thursday (the 20th of March). I was 14 & 1/2 weeks along.
Both babies have grown about 1 & 1/2 inches in 3 weeks, so now they are about 3 & 1/2 inches long (crown to rump). What a joy they bring to our lives already.
Our next appt is April 2nd at 2:15pm.

Description of pictures:
Baby A is on the lower right hand side of the first picture. Baby A is facing forward. (This picture can be a little confusing as you can see part of Baby B in the upper left hand corner)

Baby B is face down in this picture.
You can see its whole body.

14 weeks

I am amazed at how quickly time is going by with this pregnancy. I am now 14 weeks & 1 day along. I gained a total of 10 lbs in the first trimester, which is exactly what the doctor recommends, especially with twins. I'm suppose to gain most of the recommended weight in the first 2 trimesters. I wonder what I'll gain in this second trimester.
Within the last 3 weeks, my belly has become much more noticeable, which is very exciting! My family thinks my belly has been growing everyday, for me, it's a little harder to tell. All I know is that my normal clothes are nothing fitting comfortably anymore.
I have my next doctor appt this Thursday (March 20th) at 10:15am. We'll have another ultrasound done. I am so looking forward to seeing our little babies again.
People keep asking if you're going to find out the sex of the babies...the answer is yes. And we'll be sharing the news for sure. So stayed tuned! We should be able to find out sometime in April, hopefully.

I'll post more pictures at the end of this week.

What a Journey!

I am now 13 weeks along with twins. It's still hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that there are two babies growing in my womb. But oh how exciting!

The last appt with the doctor was on Feb 28th. We get to see the babies every appt. Baby B was very active while Baby A was quite calm. Both babies were 2 inches long from crown to rump. Baby B was even found sucking its thumb. From the looks of it, Baby B is right on top of Baby A. They both have their own sacs and placentas, so more likely they are fraternal. Baby A's heartbeat was 160bpm and Baby B's heartbeat was 156bpm. Our next appt is on March 20th.
